Tara Smith

Tara Smith has a diverse work experience spanning a range of roles and industries. Tara started their career as an Elementary Teacher at Austin ISD from September 1997 to June 2001. Tara then transitioned to USDOL/ETA, where they worked as a Manpower Analyst from September 2003 to July 2005. Following that, they joined the University of Texas as a Research Associate from October 2005 to February 2015. In 2015, Tara joined Jobs for the Future (JFF) as a Senior Program Manager, and later held the positions of Associate Research Director from November 2020 to October 2022, and Research Director from October 2022 onwards.
