Dante Tufano, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience that spans across various organizations and roles.

Dante currently holds the position of Senior Simulation Software Engineer at Joby Aviation since April 2021.

Prior to that, they worked at Northrop Grumman as a Principal Software Engineer from September 2019 to 2021.

From September 2018 to August 2019, they were a Senior Member Of Technical Staff at The Aerospace Corporation, and from July 2017 to September 2018, they held the role of Member Of Technical Staff at the same organization.

Dante began their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from August 2014 to May 2017.

Dante also gained valuable experience at SUNY Geneseo, where they worked as a Resident Assistant from August 2012 to December 2013, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant from August 2011 to May 2013. In these roles, they developed conflict mediation, program-planning, and time management skills while facilitating students' intellectual and social development. Dante also promoted habits consistent with a smooth transition to college life, a healthy lifestyle, maintaining sustainable communities, and building an appreciation of the fine and performing arts.

Dante Tufano, Ph.D. pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Physics at SUNY Geneseo from 2010 to 2013. Following this, they furthered their education at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2014 to 2017, where they successfully completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering.
