Greg Stewart

Greg Stewart has extensive work experience in software engineering, with a focus on aviation and aerospace industries. Greg recently joined Joby Aviation in 2021 as a Software Engineer and was later promoted to Lead of the Applicant Compliance Team in 2022. In this role, Greg leads a team that develops safety-critical flight software under DO-178C.

Prior to joining Joby Aviation, Greg worked at Boeing for over 20 years. Greg held various positions, including Chief Software Engineer from 2017 to 2021. During their time at Boeing, Greg also served as a Software Technical Lead, leading a multi-company working group that defined the OMS Critical Abstraction Layer (CAL). Greg was responsible for defining CAL's standard software interfaces, authoring the formal specification, and developing the reference implementation for inclusion in the OMS Reference Architecture.

Before their leadership roles, Greg worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at Boeing, contributing to projects from 2000 to 2017. Their expertise in embedded software development was instrumental in supporting the US Air Force Open Mission Systems Program and Boeing OMS Adopting Programs.
