Ian Pang has a range of work experience in various roles and industries. Ian started their career as a Recent Graduate, working as a self-employed individual from September 2011 to December 2014. After that, they joined Deckers Brands as a Footwear Design Associate from February 2015 to April 2016, where they collaborated with a dynamic team on color designing for the Spring and Fall seasons. Ian then worked as a Facilities Technician at TechShop, Inc. from September 2016 to March 2017. Following that, they joined S.F. E Inc. as a Product Designer from March 2017 to September 2017, where they focused on designing innovative tool box accessories and utilizing CAD development and product manufacturing. Ian then worked at Vantage Robotics as a UAV Technician/Product Manufacturing from October 2017 to January 2019. After that, they joined Impossible Aerospace as a Research and Development Technician from April 2019 to August 2020. Currently, they are employed at Joby Aviation as both an Engineering Technician from October 2020 to July 2021 and as a Mechanical Technician starting from July 2021.
Ian Pang earned a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial and Product Design from the Academy of Art University from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa from 2009 to 2010, focusing on Animation, Interactive Technology, Video Graphics, and Special Effects but did not receive a degree. Ian also obtained an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies, and Humanities from Kapi‘olani Community College, which they attended from 2006 to 2009. In addition to their academic achievements, Ian received certification in IPC J-STD-001 and Space Applications Electronic Hardware Addendum to IPC J-STD-001 in April 2021 from IPC.
