Jeffrey Lotterman has a diverse and extensive work experience in the engineering and motorsport industry. Jeffrey started their career in 1998 at AlliedSignal as a Development Engineer, where they were responsible for providing turbochargers to various OEM customers in the motorsport industry. In 2002, they joined Honeywell as a Product Engineer, focusing on gasoline engines.

Lotterman continued their career at Honeywell, taking on various roles and responsibilities. Jeffrey served as a Project Engineer, overseeing the development of turbomachinery for aerospace systems. Jeffrey then became the PV Advanced Concepts Engineering Manager, leading a team in developing new boosting technology for passenger vehicles. Jeffrey successfully developed and validated multiple turbocharger designs and electrical compressor concepts.

In 2009, Lotterman transitioned into management positions at Honeywell. As the Manager of Advanced Technology and Worldwide Motorsport, they added the responsibility of launching a motorsport group in addition to their previous role. Jeffrey quadrupled motorsport revenue while maintaining profit margins. Jeffrey later served as the Director of Motorsport and European Advanced Technology, responsible for leading teams in both the US and Europe.

From 2014 to 2018, Lotterman held the role of Director of Advanced Technology and Motorsport at Honeywell. During this time, they led additional advanced technology teams and played a key role in developing electrified boosting products.

In 2018, Lotterman joined Garrett - Advancing Motion as their Chief Engineer, focusing on electric boosting and fuel cell technologies. Jeffrey later became the Director of Electric Boosting and Motorsport before transitioning to their role as Chief Engineer.

Lotterman then took a personal sabbatical from December 2021 to June 2022 before joining Joby Aviation in 2022 as the Gaseous Hydrogen & Thermal Systems Lead. In this position, they are responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate technical aspects of product development.

Jeffrey Lotterman obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Minnesota from 1992 to 1998.
