William Staruk

Aeromechanics Engineer at Joby Aviation

William Staruk has a diverse work experience in the aerospace and engineering field. William currently works as an Aeromechanics Engineer at Joby Aviation. Prior to that, they were an Aircraft Loads and Dynamics Engineer at Aurora Flight Sciences Corporation. William has also worked as a Research Scientist at Science and Technology Corporation (STC) and as a PhD Candidate at the University of Maryland. William gained experience as an Aeromechanics Branch Graduate Student Intern at NASA Ames Research Center. Additionally, William has served as a Project Manager and Transmission Team Leader for the Gamera Human Powered Helicopter Team at the University of Maryland. William started their engineering career as a Project Development Intern at BOSCO Uganda and an Engineering Department Intern at Stonebridge Inc.

William Staruk completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame from 2006 to 2010. William then pursued a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland - A. James Clark School of Engineering from 2010 to 2012. Finally, they obtained their Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the same institution from 2012 to 2017.
