Ville Leinonen

Ville Leinonen is a seasoned professional in the fields of security and emergency services, currently serving as the Chief Security Officer for the City of Joensuu since May 2021. With extensive experience at the North Karelia Rescue Services from 2003 to 2022, Ville held various leadership positions, including Fire Engineer and operational general manager. Ville's expertise encompasses preparedness, continuity management, and risk management, as well as communication and media collaboration within emergency services. Ville has participated in multiple committees and working groups aimed at enhancing regional safety and security protocols and has a strong educational background in security and strategic analysis from the University of Jyväskylä, along with multiple qualifications from the Emergency Services Academy Finland.
