Ahmed Warsame

Postdoctoral Researcher at John Innes Centre

Ahmed Warsame's work experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the John Innes Centre since June 2021. Previously, they worked as a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Reading from September 2017 to June 2021, where they focused on the genetic improvement of nutritional quality in faba bean. Ahmed also worked as a Crop science lecturer at IGAD-Sheikh Technical Veterinary School from October 2013 to September 2016, where they assisted in the implementation of a program related to dryland economics and agroecosystem management and handled departmental administrative tasks for a year.

Ahmed Warsame has achieved a Master's Degree in Plant Breeding and Biotechnology from the University of Nairobi, which they pursued from 2011 to 2013. Following this, they joined the University of Reading in 2017 and completed their PhD in Crop Science in 2021.
