Edmund Bridge has work experience primarily in the field of plant biology and molecular biology. Edmund started their career as an undergraduate student at Durham University from October 2016 to July 2019. Subsequently, they joined the John Innes Centre, where they worked as a researcher and PhD candidate since 2019. In this role, they focused on studying the plant signalling process involved in the root endosymbiotic interaction between legume plants and rhizobia and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi. Edmund has expertise in various molecular biology techniques, including cloning, protein extraction, and protein detection. Edmund also gained experience in CRISPR/Cas9 mutagenesis and agrobacterium-based plant transformation.
Edmund Bridge pursued their education in the field of biological sciences, focusing on plant molecular biology. Edmund earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Durham University, where they studied from 2016 to 2019. Following their undergraduate studies, they enrolled at the John Innes Centre, completing a Masters by Research in Plant Molecular Biology from 2019 to 2020. Edmund is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Plant Molecular Biology at the John Innes Centre, with an expected completion date in 2024.
