Gill Smith

Gill Smith is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in media relations and public relations. Currently serving as a Senior Communications Manager for Media Relations at John Lewis Partnership since May 2021, Gill also holds the position of Senior Public Relations Manager for Corporate PR at Waitrose & Partners, a role undertaken since October 2001. Previous experience includes serving as Communications Manager at Oxford City Council from January 1999 to October 2001 and working as an Education Correspondent for Oxford Mail and Times Limited from June 1996 to January 1999. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in History with English Literature from the University of Edinburgh and a Postgraduate Diploma in Newspaper Journalism from City, University of London.
