Director Facilities Engineering at JPS Health Network

Robert Carroll has a diverse work experience in facilities management and operations. Robert is currently serving as the Director of Facilities Engineering at JPS Health Network, where they oversee a large healthcare campus and is involved in a major expansion project. Prior to this, they were the Director of Facilities Management at Medical City Las Colinas, where they managed maintenance, repairs, and installation of plant equipment. Before that, they served as the Plant Operations Director at Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Arlington, where they were responsible for maintaining the physical structures and coordinating building inspections. Earlier in their career, they held various leadership roles at UW Medicine/Harborview Medical Center, including Director of Operations and Managing Director, where they oversaw a wide range of departments and managed business and financial operations. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in areas such as budget development, personnel management, project management, and regulatory compliance.

Robert Carroll has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration and Management from Western Governors University, obtained between 2014 and 2016. Robert also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration from the same university, attained between 2016 and 2017. Additionally, they have completed a period of study in Business Administration at the University of Washington from 1981 to 1985. In terms of certifications, they have obtained the Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) certification from the American Hospital Association in 2022. Robert has also acquired various other certifications, including NFPA 101: Life Safety Code (2012) Essentials For Health Care Occupancy Training, NFPA 99 Health Care Facilities Code (2012), Metasys System Extended Architecture for Building Operators, and NFPA 80 (2016) Inspection, Testing and Maintenance Requirements for Swinging Fire Doors. Robert also possesses certifications in CompTIA Project+, NIMS ICS (National Incident Management System Incident Command System) for specific safety officer and planning sections chief, and NIMS ICS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, and 800.
