Michael Davies

Michael Davies has over 25 years of work experience in finance and accounting roles. Michael started their career as a Trainee Accountant at Moore and Smalley LLP in 1992, where they prepared accounts for various types of businesses. Michael then worked as an Accounts and Audit Semi-Senior at Stokes Dickinson Chartered Accountants from 1994 to 1998.

In 1997, Davies joined Berkeley Morgan Group Plc as a Group Financial Controller, where they prepared monthly management accounts and consolidated group accounts. Michael also oversaw the accounts department and was responsible for VAT returns, payroll, and budget reports.

From 2003 to 2006, Davies served as the Finance Director at Croston Conservatory & Window Centres Limited. In this role, they managed various financial tasks including balance sheet reconciliations, treasury reports, and expense analysis.

Davies then worked as a Group Financial Accountant at Monstermob Group PLC from 2006 to 2007, where they consolidated accounts for multiple companies and implemented a spreadsheet model to streamline the consolidation process.

From 2007 to 2008, Davies was the Financial Controller at SPS EU Ltd, where they oversaw financial operations and reporting.

In 2008, Davies joined First Travel Solutions Ltd (formerly First Rail Support Ltd) as the Business Support Director. Michael managed the management accounting process, developed forecasting models, and implemented business process improvements.

In 2017, Davies joined IRIS Software as a Commercial Business Partner, advising on commercial strategies.

Since 2017, Davies has been working at John Turner Construction Group Ltd in various roles. Michael started as a Finance Manager and Company Secretary, and later became the Finance Director and Company Secretary.

Michael Davies obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Mathematics from Bangor University between the years 1989 and 1992.
