Laura H Scherer (Garrett)

Laura H Scherer (Garrett) has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Laura H started their career as an Intern at Frank Hallam Day - Photographer & Artist in 2012, where they assisted the renowned photographer and helped prepare materials for an International Photography Award. Laura H then worked at Jostens as a Sales Rep, selling class rings and distributing caps and gowns to college students.

In 2013, Laura joined Seton Keough High School as a Teacher Assistant, primarily working in the photography department and teaching the basics of photography. Laura H also assisted the art teacher in design and drawing classes. Simultaneously, they worked as a Photopass Photographer at The Walt Disney Company, capturing memorable moments for visitors.

From 2012 to 2017, Laura served as a Designer/Owner/Developer/Artist at Chesapeake Tides, focusing on creating new items, including bow ties, pocket squares, and paintings inspired by the Chesapeake Bay. Laura H also ran their own photography business, Laura H. Garrett Photography, since 2008, specializing in weddings, senior portraits, and headshots.

In 2016, Laura joined J.Crew as a Sales Associate and later became an Assistant Manager, responsible for operations, visual merchandising, and event coordination. Laura H briefly worked as a Special Education Paraprofessional at HighTech LA Middle School and as a Sales Associate at Madewell in 2018.

Currently, Laura works at johnnie-O, starting in 2018 as a Customer Service Specialist-Senior Wingman. Laura H then transitioned to the role of Licensing Product Specialist and is currently the Wingman Team Lead.

Laura H Scherer (Garrett) started their education at Seton Keough High School from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Following their high school education, they attended Savannah College of Art and Design from 2008 to 2010, where they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography. Finally, they completed their education at Maryland Institute College of Art from 2010 to 2013, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography.
