Mahdi Mehrtash is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of Electrical Engineering, currently serving as an Assistant Research Professor at The Johns Hopkins University since July 2021. Prior to this position, Mahdi held roles as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of British Columbia and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology. Mahdi has extensive teaching experience, having served as a Research and Teaching Assistant at Louisiana State University, where responsibilities included grading, lab instruction, and guest lectures in various electrical engineering courses, as well as a Lecturer at Islamic Azad University, teaching a wide range of courses related to electrical engineering. Mahdi earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (Power) from Louisiana State University, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (Power) from Shiraz University, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Power) from Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz.
