Pamela Batchelor has extensive experience in the education field. Pamela currently serves as the Executive Director of Instructional Technology at Johnston County Public Schools since 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction from 2017 to 2021 as a Digital Learning Systems Consultant, where they managed instructional components of statewide applications and led professional learning and training. In 2017, they briefly held the role of Innovation Coach at Johnston County Public Schools. From 2013 to 2017, they worked as a Digital Learning Specialist at Johnston County Schools. Pamela began their career as a Classroom Teacher at Johnston County Schools from 2007 to 2011, and prior to that, they served as a Student Teacher at Wilson County Schools from 2006 to 2007.

Pamela Batchelor obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in History Teacher Education from East Carolina University in 2007. Pamela then pursued a Master's Degree in Educational/Instructional Technology from East Carolina University from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, they attended Appalachian State University to obtain a School Administration Add-On Licensure in Secondary School Administration/Principalship, which they completed in 2015. Pamela completed their Doctorate of Education (EdD) in Education Leadership and Supervision at NC State University Graduate School from 2020 to 2023. Pamela also holds various certifications, including being a Creative Commons Certified Educator and a Google Education Certified Trainer.
