Leopoldo E. Diou

Leopoldo E. Diou, CPA, currently serves as the Director of Finance at Joia Beach, overseeing the finance organization with responsibilities in reporting, budgeting, cash management, and vendor management, while achieving significant accomplishments such as the creation of the first organizational budget and the implementation of financial statement models. Previous experience includes roles as a Manager at BDO USA, LLP, and Accounting Controller at Lunacon Construction Group, Corp., where responsibilities encompassed audit support and financial management activities. Diou’s extensive background also includes leadership positions at Laureate International Universities, where oversight of SOX Compliance and shared services operations was performed, along with work as a Senior Audit Officer at Mercantil Bank and Internal Audit Manager at Doral Financial Corporation. Diou holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras.
