John Running

John Running is an experienced technology executive with over 15 years of leadership experience in various companies. John has worked for multiple companies such as Hill Holliday, MRM//McCann, EF Education First, and DipJar. John is known for leading and transforming engineering teams with rigorous standards and evaluation methods, increasing efficiency, quality and delivering the division's business goals, and owning the product strategy to pivot a company's product resulting in an over 200% increase in recurring monthly revenue. John has many accomplishments such as spearheading a partnership program, leading tech components of successful RFP responses, and developing media products that combined paid social media with traditional media campaigns. John is currently the CTO for Cake and has worked for the company since 2023.

John Running attended McGill University from 1993 to 1999 where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a major in Philosophy and a minor in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to their university education, they also attended Ridley College, although it is unclear when they graduated or what degree they earned. In terms of certifications, they have obtained several including a Developer Certification from Uniform in March 2023, as well as various data analytics and programming certifications from The Johns Hopkins University between February and March 2017.
