Molly Elgin-Cossart

General Manager, Marketplace at Propel

Molly Elgin-Cossart is the current General Manager of the Marketplace at Propel. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Impact Officer of Merit America from February 2020 to March 2021. In this role, they were responsible for driving strategy, growth, and innovation for the organization.

Before their time at Merit America, Elgin-Cossart served as a Visiting Scholar at Georgetown University from September 2017 to July 2018, where they focused on Technology and International Affairs. Molly also served as the Director of the Rework America Task Force at the Markle Foundation from September 2017 to February 2020. In this role, they led a group of business, labor, technology, academic, and policy leaders working to transform America’s labor market through pilots, partnerships, and policy.

Elgin-Cossart has also served as a Principal at Omidyar Network from August 2016 to September 2017 and as a Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress from January 2014 to July 2016. Molly began their career as the Chief of Staff for the Secretary-General's High Level Panel on the Post-2015 Development Agenda from September 2012 to September 2013.

Molly Elgin-Cossart has an MA in International Policy Studies from Stanford University, a BA in Political Economy and Molly'story from Tulane University, and a PPE from the University of Cambridge. Molly also has a certification from the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education in Performance Measurement for Effective Management of Nonprofit Organizations.
