Terry Doan is an experienced professional affiliated with the Joint Special Operations University since August 2000, currently serving as the Associate Dean of the College of Special Operations/Low Intensity Conflict. In the capacity of Chief of the Staff Education Division within the Operational Studies Department, Terry Doan develops policy and position papers with national security implications and participates in the presentation of related curricula to various military and governmental entities. Prior roles include Joint Civil-Military Operations Analyst, where complex research and analysis informed national security strategies, and service as an Infantry/Civil Affairs officer in the US Army for two decades. Terry Doan holds a Master's degree in International Relations from Troy University and a Bachelor's degree in Theater from Lehigh University.

USSOCOM's "Think-Do Tank" Center for Special Operations Thinking. WE SHARPEN THE EDGE OF SOF’S ADVANTAGE: THE NEXT-GENERATION SOF PROFESSIONAL. The Joint Special Operations University (JSOU) provides education to Special Operations Forces (SOF) and to people who enable the SOF mission in a joint environment. In addition to the regular courses taught at MacDill Air Force Base (AFB), JSOU routinely conducts both regular and tailored off-station activities for SOF units worldwide by means of remote or on-site instruction, DL courses, and via video tele-instruction (VTI). Vision USSOCOM's "Think-Do Tank" - Center for Special Operations Thinking. Mission JSOU prepares SOF professionals to address strategic and operational challenges, arming them with the ability to think through problems with knowledge, insight, and foresight.
