Jill Sommer Lesher

Jill Sommer Lesher has a strong background in asset management, with experience in various companies and roles. Jill is currently the Managing Director and Head of Asset Management at Jonathan Rose Companies since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Executive Vice President of Asset Management at Independence Realty Trust Inc (IRT) from 2018 to 2023, where they were responsible for the financial performance of a 36,000-unit apartment REIT. Jill also originated the Asset Management function and developed a 12-person team, maximizing asset value through various strategies. Before IRT, Jill was the Vice President of Asset Management at Pennrose from 2017 to 2018, overseeing the management of a portfolio of multifamily assets. Jill also held the position of Vice President of Asset Management at Resource Real Estate from 2013 to 2017, where they managed a portfolio of 25 multifamily assets and implemented capital projects. Jill Sommer Lesher obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Georgetown University, graduating in 2002. Jill also received a High School Diploma from Mount Saint Joseph Academy in 1998. In 2021, they obtained a certification in People Analytics from LinkedIn and a LEED AP certification from Green Building United, although the exact month of obtaining the certifications is not specified. Jill recently completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the Fox School of Business at Temple University in 2021.
