Asia Woods, M.Ed.

Asia Woods, M.Ed. has a diverse work experience in various roles related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and learning and development. Asia is currently working as a Diversity Recruiter at Jopwell since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Career Consultant at LHH starting in May 2023. In 2022, they served as an Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity Consultant at Social Responsibility Speaks. From 2019 to 2022, they were employed as an Assistant Director for Learning and Development at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Asia also worked as an Educational Sales Coordinator at Varsity Tutors, a Nerdy Company, from October 2021 to March 2022. Before that, they were a Learning and Development Facilitator at the University of Houston from June 2017 to June 2019. Additionally, they worked as a Coordinator at OneGoal from September 2018 to January 2019. Asia gained valuable experience as an Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life Summer Intern at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in the summer of 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Paraprofessional at Sheldon ISD from August 2016 to August 2017. Asia's early work experience includes serving as a Residential Assistant at Texas State University from August 2013 to January 2015, where they played a key role in preparing incoming freshmen for successful university life and managed a large number of residents while organizing various events.

Asia Woods, M.Ed. completed their Master of Education (MEd) in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from the University of Houston. Asia attended the university from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Media Studies from Texas State University, where they studied from 2012 to 2016.

In addition to their formal education, Asia obtained a certification in Inclusive Tech: The Case for Inclusive Leadership from LinkedIn in June 2022.
