Jeff Eakin, M.D. has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Jeff currently serves as the Medical Staff President Elect at Jordan Valley Medical Center starting from November 2022. Previously, they worked at Steward Health Care since March 2013, where they played multiple roles such as a General, Trauma, and Bariatric Surgeon. Jeff contributed to the creation of two state-designated trauma programs and a Comprehensive Bariatric Center of Excellence. Additionally, they held positions such as Chair of the Department of Surgery, Director of Trauma Surgery, Chair of the Medical Informatics Board, Medical Executive Committee Treasurer, and Medical Executive Council member at Jordan Valley Medical Center. Jeff was also part of the Steward Healthcare Western Physician Advisory Council and served as a Physician Executive Council Member. Furthermore, Dr. Eakin worked as an Adjunct Clinical Professor at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions and the University of Utah, starting in August 2016 and January 2016, respectively. Jeff also served as the Director of Surgical Services at Landmark Hospital, Director of the Hernia Center of Utah, and Director of the Heartburn Center of Utah, all starting in January 2016. Additionally, they worked as a Journal Reviewer for Surgical Endoscopy and Other Interventional Techniques since February 2012 and served on the SAGES Education Committee at the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons since July 2013. Lastly, they worked as an Adjunct Clinical Preceptor at A.T. Still University starting in August 2014.

Jeff Eakin M.D. completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology/Economics at Miami University from 1997 to 2001. Jeff then pursued their medical education at The Ohio State University from 2001 to 2006, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in the field of Medicine. Dr. Eakin further enhanced their qualifications by obtaining the certification of Board Certified General Surgeon from the American Board of Surgery in January 2013.
