Oriol Calvete

Oriol Calvete is a Senior Postdoctoral Fellow at the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute since October 2021, previously serving as a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher at the CNIO - Spanish National Cancer Research Centre from July 2012 to June 2021, where responsibilities included genetic characterization of familial cancer and analysis of exome sequencing. Oriol led the Molecular Biology Area at Valoralia I+D from September 2011 to March 2012, focusing on the antiviral and antibiotic bioactivity of secondary metabolites produced in cyanobacteria. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Biology, a Master's degree in Molecular Biology, and a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University Autonoma of Barcelona, complemented by a stay abroad fellowship at the University of Texas at Arlington. In 2021, Oriol completed an online Master's degree in Clinical Assays at Universidad Nebrija.
