Mikael Siltanen

Mikael Siltanen is a Senior Specialist in Optical Systems at JOT Automation since June 2018, focusing on imaging optics, image processing, illumination, and machine vision applications, with expertise in deep learning and traditional photonics. In addition, Mikael serves as the Head of Laser and Optics Engineering at Pulsedeon Oy. Prior experience includes working as a Senior Optics Technologist at Picodeon Ltd Oy, managing high-power laser R&D and optical equipment design, and conducting high-resolution molecular spectroscopy research as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Helsinki. Mikael's academic background includes a Doctor of Science in Technology and a Master's Degree in Technical Physics, both from Tampere University of Technology.
