Victor-Pierre Melendez

Director, Municipal Relations & Outreach at Joule Assets

Victor is the Municipal Relations & Outreach Director at Joule Community Power. He manages communications with municipal clientele and develops sales and marketing strategies for community distributed solar power generation (CDG) in coordination with the NY and Europe teams. An experienced community outreach professional he brings to the team an understanding of the interconnections between different industries within for-profit, nonprofit and government sectors.

With a broad background in environmental sustainability and the development of corporate accountability policies and procedures Victor’s work has given him the opportunity to liaise with a wide variety of non-profits and community organizations to ensure seamless interface in project implementation.

Victor, in 2017 founded V-Structuring Concepts, a strategic consulting group with a concentrated client list of environmental community activists and driven entrepreneur.

Before Joining Joule: Victor worked as a Project Developer, advising development of the Energy, Sustainability & Resilience (ESR) Division - Sustainability Navigator Program for the Institute for Building Technology & Safety. for the Orange County, NY Department of Health and directed the Green Cities initiative for Hudson River Sloop Clearwater working in depth on a range of issues from environmental justice to green infrastructure. He has sat on the Diversity Committee for the New York State Outdoors Education Association which serves environmental educators from the entire state of New York and held a seat on the Execute Board of Sustainable Hudson Valley for 10+ years. As an entrepreneur, he managed a cafe and art gallery/dance studio in the Downtown Waterfront district of Kingston.
