Kristen Leone

Kristen Leone has a diverse work experience in various scientific and technical roles. Kristen started their career at Battelle as a Laboratory Technician in 2012. Kristen then moved to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where they worked as a Flow Core Research Technician and later as a Flow Core Research Technician II from 2013 to 2015. From 2015 to 2017, they served as a Flow Cytometry Technologist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

In 2017, Kristen joined Jounce Therapeutics, Inc. as an Associate Scientist and Flow Cytometry Core Manager. Kristen played a key role in creating, designing, and managing the operation of the Flow Cytometry Core at Jounce Therapeutics. Kristen coordinated the move and set up of the flow core to a new building and implemented best practices, policies, quality control measures, and data storage for the Flow Cytometry Core. Kristen also purchased, integrated, upgraded, and sold cytometers to meet the evolving needs of Jounce research programs. Kristen maintained service contracts on the instruments.

In 2019, Kristen was promoted to Senior Associate Scientist and continued their role as Flow Cytometry Core Manager at Jounce Therapeutics. Kristen implemented and adjusted policies to ensure uninterrupted flow core operation during the pandemic, including sorting COVID-19 patient samples. Kristen trained and managed the flow cytometry core staff, oversaw daily operations, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of instruments, and ensured proper running of daily quality control and assurance.

Kristen's most recent role at Jounce Therapeutics is as a Flow Cytometry Core Manager and Scientific Technical Leader. Starting in January 2022, they expanded the flow core staff by adding a full-time employee and provided training and support to ensure their professional development. Kristen oversees the flow core operation, ensuring timely completion of routine QC and maintenance tasks by their staff while expanding higher levels of support for Jounce researchers.

Kristen Leone attended Bridgewater State University from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology. Kristen'sdegree focused on the fields of Biology, Bio-Medical, and Molecular studies.
