Zuzana Borovanska has had a diverse and impressive career in animation, research, teaching and consulting. In 2022, they joined JOMI Surgical Video Journal as a Lead Medical Animator, where they managed the team of medical animators, ensuring the animations had a high degree of anatomically accuracy and visual style. Zuzana also collaborated with authors, surgeons, video production and editorial departments to produce publications. In 2021, they joined Twig Education as a Science Researcher, where they were responsible for researching content, writing articles and briefs for the design team, and assisting with the handover of the product. In 2019, they were a Digital Art and Design Portfolio Course Tutor at The Glasgow School of Art, where they designed the course structure, wrote lesson content and delivered group and one-to-one tuition to the students. Zuzana was also a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the School of Simulation and Visualisation, where they supported teaching staff in the postgraduate programs during lectures. In 2017, they were an Intern at PwC, where they gained insight into their business and organisational culture, and in 2016 they were an Intern at Teach First, where they helped with the current problem of educational disparity.
Zuzana Borovanska completed their A levels at Gymnazium Jura Hronca in 2014, majoring in Biology, Mathematics, English, and Slovak Language. Zuzana then attended The University of Edinburgh, graduating in 2018 with a BSc (Hons) Biomedical Sciences with Management (Neuroscience), specializing in Biomedical Sciences, General. Most recently, they completed an MSc Medical Visualization and Human Anatomy at The Glasgow School of Art, specializing in Medical Illustration/Medical Illustrator.
