Abenezer Girma

Abenezer Girma holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Computer Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and an Engineer’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Addis Ababa University. Currently, Abenezer serves as Vice President and AI ML Lead at JPMorganChase, focusing on advanced multi-modal Generative AI solutions, including LLM, Speech, and Computer Vision applications. Prior roles include Senior AI & Machine Learning Engineer at the Machine Learning Center of Excellence and Quantitative Researcher on the Core Artificial Intelligence Service and Innovation team, both emphasizing generative models and machine learning applications. Experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the National Institute of Aerospace involved deep learning research for object detection and image classification. Additional internships at J.P. Morgan and Facebook contributed to expertise in biometric authentication and machine learning processes.
