Rob Luijsterburg

Rob Luijsterburg is a seasoned project manager with extensive experience in public space development and urban planning. Currently serving as a Verkenner integrale projecten openbare ruimte at Gemeente Utrecht since June 2024, Rob addresses challenges in integrated projects that stall due to staffing and financial uncertainties. Previously, Rob held the position of senior project manager at JS Consultancy and has managed projects for various municipalities including Gemeente Lelystad, Gemeente Tilburg, and Gemeente Haarlem. Rob’s career spans multiple roles focusing on area development and public space management, beginning as a project manager at ARCADIS. Rob holds an Ing. degree in Civil Engineering from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, complemented by various educational pursuits in project management and governance.
