Nathan Shapiro

Nathan Shapiro has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the fields of automation, engineering, and research. Nathan is currently working at JSat Automation Inc as the Head of Lab Automation, Informatics, and Robotic Systems. Prior to this, they served as the Manager of Life Cycle Engineering at 10x Genomics and worked as an Automation Engineer in their Manufacturing Systems Engineering department. Nathan also has experience working at Bayer, where they served as an Automation Scientist and a QC Associate, focusing on automation efforts for manufacturing, quality control, and assay development. Nathan started their career as a Research Assistant at the University of California, Davis, and also gained experience as a Research Associate at Anawah Inc and an Intern in the Wet Chemistry Department at SuperGen.

Nathan Shapiro completed their education in a chronological sequence. Nathan first obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology from the University of California, Davis, from 2002 to 2006. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Organic Chemistry and Physiology from California State University - East Bay, with studies spanning from 2009 to 2012.

In addition to their academic degrees, Nathan also holds various certifications. In 2012, they completed the Project Risk Management certification from the Project Management Institute. Then, in 2013, they obtained certifications in Conflict Resolution and High Impact Communication from Pryor Learning | Fred Pryor Seminars | CareerTrack.

Later on, in 2014, they acquired the Venus Programming 1 and Venus Programming II certifications from Hamilton Company. Moving forward, in 2018, they obtained three certifications: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from BSI, Epson RC+ SPEL+ Programming, and Epson Vision Systems from Epson America Inc.

Most recently, in 2022, Nathan earned two certifications: Data Analytics: Dashboards vs. Data Stories and Developing Executive Presence, both from LinkedIn. Additionally, they completed the Artificial Intelligence Foundations: Machine Learning certification from the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA).
