Adeel Anwar

Adeel Anwar has a strong background in Information Technology, with over 20 years of experience in various roles. Adeel most recently worked as the Director of Information Technology at Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts starting in 2022. Prior to that, Adeel held the position of Director of Information Technology (Corporate & Cluster Hotels) at ALMAJD ALARABIAH from 2019 to 2022. In this role, they oversaw the IT department for the group, implemented centralized IT infrastructure, and managed IT projects, among other responsibilities. Before joining ALMAJD ALARABIAH, Adeel worked as the Director of Information Technology (Pre-Opening) at Millennium Hotels and Resorts from 2016 to 2019, where they handled the IT aspects of pre and post-opening for a 5-star property. Adeel also worked as an Information Technology Manager (Brand Conversion/Pre-Opening) at Hilton Worldwide from 2014 to 2016, as an Information Technology Manager at Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts from 2012 to 2014, and as an Information Technology Manager at Abdul Mohsin Al Hokair Group-Hospitality Division from 2010 to 2011. Adeel began their career in the banking sector, working as an M.I.S. Officer Pre-Opening at United Bank Limited from 2007 to 2009, and as an Information Technology Officer at Faysal Bank Limited from 2006 to 2007. Adeel started their career as an Assistant Programmer at the Universal Postal Union from 2002 to 2005. Adeel Anwar has a Certificate in Project Leadership from Cornell University, which was obtained in 2012. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Information Technology in Network & System Administration from Allama Iqbal Open University, from 2001 to 2005. Adeel also holds various additional certifications, including the PRINCE2 Practitioner Certificate in Project Management, EC-Council's Certified Chief Information Security Officer, and Information Systems Auditing, Controls and Assurance from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
