Rainer Bohrn

Rainer Bohrn is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the food science and biotechnology sector. As an International Project Manager at Jungbunzlauer since April 2006, Rainer leads a technical group on international investment projects, overseeing plant layout development, process definition, and regulatory affairs. Rainer also serves as the Group Sustainability Manager Operations, focusing on sustainability initiatives and decarbonization at production sites. Previous roles include Production Manager for Xanthan Gum, Glucose, and Citric Acid, along with technical management responsibilities at a citric acid plant. Rainer's academic background includes a PhD and MSc in Food Science and Biotechnology from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU), complemented by experience as a Research Associate at the Christian Doppler Laboratory for Pulp Reactivity.
