Kaia Olson

Kaia Olson's work experience begins in 2016 when they worked as a Teaching Assistant at CodeCore Developer Bootcamp. During their time there, they provided guidance and assistance to students in a web development fundamentals course.

In 2014, Kaia worked as a Web Developer at Mintaka Design. Kaia was responsible for designing and developing client-driven websites, ranging from static promotional websites to more complex full-stack solutions. Kaia'stechnical skills included HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Adobe Creative Suite, Ruby on Rails, Heroku, and ReactJS.

Kaia then joined Jungle Scout in 2016 as a Software Engineer. Kaia worked with a variety of technologies and was passionate about creating a beautiful and intuitive user experience. Kaia also gained experience scaling and querying large data-driven applications. Over time, Kaia moved up within the company, becoming a Team Lead, an Engineering Manager, and eventually a Senior Engineering Manager. In their roles, they focused on coordinating large-scale feature development efforts, building and executing roadmaps, and managing career development for team members.

Currently, Kaia is working at Jungle Scout as the Director of Engineering, SMB. In this role, they are leading the engineering efforts to build and iterate on the company's core product for small and medium businesses. Kaia manages engineering managers, develops organizational strategies, and cultivates talent within the company.

Kaia Olson attended CodeCore College from 2015 to 2016, studying web development. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of Michigan from 2010 to 2014. Kaia'smajor was Classical, Ancient Mediterranean and Near Eastern Studies and Archaeology, with a minor in Latin.
