Shankar Parasuraman

Shankar Parasuraman is the VP of Payments & Tax at Justworks. Shankar has over 9 years of experience in the financial industry, with a focus on software engineering and technology. Shankar has held leadership positions at Quantitative Brokers, Lucera Financial Infrastructures, and Bloomberg.

At Quantitative Brokers, Shankar was responsible for management and vision of all aspects of QB’s multi-million-dollar technology and software development efforts globally. Shankar quickly expanded, professionalized and increased efficiency of various facets of technology organization by adopting best practices, implementing processes, team structuring, and re-architecture of critical trading system components. Shankar also identified opportunities, set direction, researched, planned and drove implementation of product expansion initiatives across multiple asset classes and execution workflows.

At Lucera Financial Infrastructures, Shankar was the VP of Engineering. Shankar helped and guided heads of development teams and global team of excellent technology professionals with architecture and design of different aspects of software stack including algorithms, trading systems, integration, data services, GUI and DevOps.

Shankar started their career as a Lead Software Engineer at Bloomberg, where they worked for 5 years.

Shankar Parasuraman received their MS in Management Information Systems from Texas A&M University - Mays Business School and their Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science & Engineering from Anna University.

Shankar Parasuraman reports to Isaac Oates, Founder & CEO. They are on a team with Allison Rutledge-Parisi - SVP, People, Yrthya Dinzey-Flores - VP, DEI, Social Impact & Sustainability, and Robert Lopez - SVP, Sales & Customer Success. and Radford Tam - Director, Engineering reports to Shankar Parasuraman.
