Gretta Kissell

Managing Partner at JUV Consulting

Gretta Kissell is Managing Partner at JUV Consulting. After spending her childhood in the cornfields of rural Ohio, she headed to the concrete jungle for college and is still learning not to say “ope” when she bumps into someone on the sidewalk (the Midwesterners in the room get it).

Gretta is now a rising junior at Columbia University, and is—as John Mulaney puts it—paying to study a language she already knows (English). She studies psychology, too, to learn how to cope with this fact. Mulaney’s jokes aside, Gretta loves her ~liberal arts~ education and has pursued her passion for literature as a Symposium Fellow and as one of 40 students accepted to matriculate to Pembroke College, Cambridge University next spring. (The pandemic has put a dent in this study abroad plan, but she still hopes to eventually live out her dream of pouring over a good Victorian novel in a quaint British coffee house).

When she’s not writing essays or overseeing consultancy work at JUV, Gretta spends her time giving back to under-resourced communities in Ohio as an Alma Mater Ambassador and in NYC through Columbia’s Social Entrepreneurship Group. She also plays on her college’s ping pong team to keep herself humble. Like most 20-year-olds, Gretta is shameless about plugging her social media whenever possible, so go follow her account @gwillyk on Instagram (and connect with her on LinkedIn for more ~professional~ vibes).
