Daniela Marilungo was born in Bologna on Nov. 4, 1970 and holds a degree in Political Science, in the field of International and Community Relations, graduating with honors at LUISS, Libera University of Social Studies, Guido Carli di Roma in Rome, where she completed her studies with a Master in International and Community Institutions.
Daniela has worked in regulations and institutional relations for 18 years, with experience gained in Italy and abroad.
She started her working career dealing with EU legislation in Brussels in 1997 at the European Commission, then at Lawrence Graham Solicitors Law firm in London and at the European Patent Office in Monaco of Bavaria.
Daniela, in the course of her career has held different roles in the financial industry: Director of External Relations at the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) in London and European Legal Analyst at Goldman Sachs International, London.
From 2004 to 2009 Daniela was Head of Relations for the Community institutions of the Italian Banking Association (ABI) in Brussels.
Since 2010, Daniela has been Senior Vice President and Head of Public Policy for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and for Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Based in London and Brussels, Daniela manages the institutional relations and regulations of the bank at European and international level (European Union, IMF and World Bank, World Economic Forum).
In 2007 Daniela was awarded the Best European Lobbyst of the Year by Public Affairs Awards London.
