Mitch McAlister

Mitch McAlister has over 15 years of work experience in the product and web development fields. In 2002, they began their career as a Web Developer & IT Manager at Winning Directions, where they were responsible for re-building a scalable cross platform IT solution. In 2003, they moved to Universal Music Enterprises as a Web Developer. In 2005, they joined MySpace as Director of Product - Mobile, International, Communications, & Community. In 2010, they became the Director of Product Management and Design at Yidio. In 2011, they were appointed as Product Director at Songbird. From 2013 to 2015, they worked at OpenAura as a Product Designer, where they were responsible for managing the design process, conducting pre-alpha user feedback interviews, and engaging stakeholders in the discovery and decision making process for feature development. In 2015, they joined YouWeb Incubator as VP Product Experience. That same year, they also began their role as UX Design Instructor at Academy of Art University. Most recently, in 2016, they became the Director of Product Management at Juvo.

Mitch McAlister attended Palo Alto High from 1990 to 1994. Mitch then went on to the University of California, Berkeley, graduating in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications.
