Lauren Gonzalez has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Lauren is currently working as the Director of Research at K12 Insight since October 2021. Prior to that, they served as a Co-Program Manager: Financial and Curriculum Lead at Teachers College, Columbia University, where they were responsible for the development and management of a Department of Homeland Security Grant for Targeted Violence and Extremism Prevention.

Lauren also worked at Rutgers School of Public Health as a Research Teaching Specialist IV from January 2019 to January 2022, and as a Research Teaching Specialist V from February 2017 to December 2018. Lauren had a brief stint as a Grant Researcher at Teachers College, Columbia University in May and June 2021.

In addition, Lauren has experience in the education field, having worked as an ESOL Instructor at the International Rescue Committee from July 2016 to September 2017, and as an English Teacher with Teach Thailand Corps from June 2015 to May 2016. Lauren also served as a Research Assistant at Tufts University School of Medicine from January 2015 to May 2015, and as a Research Assistant at ENACT Center- Boston University's Sargent College from January 2013 to May 2015.

Lauren's early experience includes roles as a Special Events Coordinator and Gymnastics Instructor at Boston University from January 2012 to May 2015, and as a Brand Representative at Uber from January 2013 to October 2014.

Lauren Gonzalez earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in International Education Development from Teachers College, Columbia University from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at Boston University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Health Services/Allied Health/Health Sciences, General, graduating in 2015. Before their university education, Lauren attended West Morris Mendham High School from 2008 to 2011. Lauren also holds additional certifications, including Teaching English as a Foreign Language and Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages from Global TEFL - Global Language Training Ltd., a 10 Hour General Industry Safety and Health certification from OSHA Safety Training Institute, a HIPAA Certification from Health Care Compliance Strategies (HCCS), Leadership Essentials from eCornell, Early Childhood Development from USAID, and an Advanced Open Water certification from Scuba Schools International.
