Sean Lochner, MBA, Pragmatic Certified Product Manager

Sean Lochner, MBA, Pragmatic Certified Product Manager, has a wealth of experience in various roles within product management and business analysis.

Starting in 2008, Sean served as a Business Analyst at HP Enterprise Services, where they gathered requirements, created test plans, and performed quality assurance testing.

In 2010, Sean joined Availity as a Senior Business Analyst and later became a Product Owner. In these roles, they managed multiple projects, became a subject matter expert, and oversaw the transition of users from a legacy product to a new, modern one. Sean also trained new business analysts, managed the support knowledge base, and led process improvement initiatives.

Moving on to Dominion Dealer Solutions in 2017, Sean worked as a Senior Business Analyst. Here, they defined the product vision and strategy, managed multiple development projects, and prioritized product backlogs.

In 2018, Sean joined Crowe as a Senior Business Analyst, where they served as a Product Owner for a newly-formed engineering team. Sean later expanded into a Product Manager role for a product line that included multiple products and development teams. Sean made impactful changes in product management practices and developed processes that were shared across teams and products.

Currently, Sean is the Director of Product at K1X, Inc. where they oversee product-related responsibilities.

Sean Lochner completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Industrial Management from Purdue University between 2003 and 2008. Sean further pursued their education at Butler University, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Leadership between 2012 and 2014.

In addition to their academic achievements, Sean Lochner has obtained various certifications. Sean earned the PMC Level IV and Pragmatic Certified Product Manager certifications from Pragmatic Institute in March 2022. Prior to that, in November 2021, they received the ICAGILE CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL - AGILE TEAM FACILITATION certification from ICAgile.

Sean Lochner also holds certifications from Pragmatic Institute, including the Focus certification in June 2021, PMC Level III certification in June 2021, Foundations certification in September 2020, and PMC Level I certification in September 2020.

Furthermore, they obtained the Advanced Manufacturing (Lean) Practitioner I Certification from Purdue Manufacturing Extension Partnership in October 2014. Before that, in October 2018, they earned the Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification from Scrum Alliance, followed by the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification in May 2016, also from Scrum Alliance.
