Mark Powalish, PSP

Mark Powalish has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Their most recent role was as the Director of Claims at K2, Inc. starting in April 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Claims Manager at the same company from August 2022 to March 2023.

Before joining K2, Inc., Mark worked at KLJ as the Program Management & Project Controls Group Manager from May 2022 to August 2022. Mark then moved on to Wanzek Construction, Inc. where they held the position of Director of Project Management Office from October 2019 to April 2022. Prior to that, they were a Project Engineer/Project Manager at the same company from December 2018 to October 2019.

Mark also gained experience at CORTAC Group, where they worked as a Senior Associate from November 2017 to June 2019. Before that, they worked at Kiewit in various roles including Assistant Department Manager, Project Controls from February 2017 to November 2017, District Scheduling Manager from January 2014 to November 2017, and Project Controls Specialist from March 2011 to January 2014.

Mark also has previous experience at Black & Veatch, holding roles in Project Controls - Change Management from November 2010 to March 2011, Field Project Controls from November 2008 to November 2010, and Project Controls - Cost & Scheduling from June 2006 to November 2008.

Mark's earliest documented work experience was as an HVAC Installer at Schwickerts, A Tecta America Company in 2005.

Mark Powalish, PSP has a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Mark also holds an Associates of Science degree from Rock Valley College. In addition to their degrees, Mark obtained the Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification from AACE International in September 2018.
