Søren Neckelmann attended the Faculty of Engineering, University of Southern Denmark from 1984 to 1986. Søren obtained a degree in Natural Sciences with a focus on Nat. Science Base (SDU). Following this, they pursued a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering at Aalborg University from 1986 to 1991.

In later years, Søren Neckelmann participated in various management programs. From 2004 to 2005, they attended Elsam Business School, specializing in Business and Management.
