Margaret practices in the areas of family law and civil litigation and appears regularly in the Family Court, District Court and High Court. Margaret’s family law practice includes dissolution of marriage, relationship property, trusts and estate, pre-nuptial agreements, child issues (including paternity, guardianship and custody) and domestic violence. Margaret’s civil practice includes a wide range of instructions, ranging from private individuals to commercial disputes as well as judicial reviews against government organisations. Margaret has taught Law of Business Obligations at Unitec and currently lectures Company Law at the University of Auckland. Margaret was born in Beijing, China and reads and speaks fluent Mandarin. Additionally, she is the Secretary for the New Zealand Chinese Outdoor Society that arranges fortnightly trekking activities and the Vice-President of Malus Tree Incorporate (a Chinese stage-performance association) and a member of numerous other professional bodies. Margaret has given a number of presentations both locally and internationally.
