Lane S. has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries and roles.

Lane started their career at Coconut Grove Playhouse in 1999 as an Audio Engineer, where they were responsible for audio system installation and maintenance, front of house show mixing, and automation programming. They then moved on to Actors Playhouse as a Sound Designer, where they designed and installed auditorium audio sound systems, created sound effects, and provided training for Theatre for Young Audiences audio engineering support.

In 2011, Lane joined the University of Central Florida as a Sound Designer, focusing on audio system design and automation programming. They also had responsibilities in training and managing audio engineering and technical support.

Following that, Lane worked at Advanced ESI as a Tech/Programmer before becoming an Adjunct Professor at ITT Technical Institute. In these roles, they utilized their technical skills and knowledge to provide programming and teaching support.

Lane then moved on to Georgia Public Broadcasting in 2016, initially serving as a Broadcast Engineer before being promoted to GPB Radio Technical Director. In 2019, Lane joined Entercom Portland as a Broadcast Engineer, where they were responsible for the installation and maintenance of broadcasting equipment at studio and transmission sites. They also served as the Wheatstone network administrator. Simultaneously, they volunteered as an Engineering Volunteer at KBOO-FM.
