Masha Poyurovsky

Vice President, Discovery Biology at Kadmon

Masha Poyurovsky's work experience began in 1998 at Columbia University, where they worked as a Graduate Researcher for seven years under the supervision of Dr. Carol Prives. During this time, they planned, modified, and executed research techniques and tests.

From 2005 to 2009, they served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Columbia University, conducting independent research in the field of p53 and contributing to the identification of a novel MDM2-p53 binding interface and regulatory mechanism. Masha also assisted in teaching and instructing students alongside Dr. Carol Prives.

In 2009, Masha became an Associate Research Scientist at Columbia University, and in 2011, they joined Kadmon, a Sanofi Company, as the Senior Director of Molecular Oncology. In this role, they oversaw the daily operations of an 8-person department and managed 6 programs in various stages of development, focusing on areas such as cellular metabolic pathways and kinase inhibition.

In 2014, they were promoted to the position of Vice President of Discovery Biology at Kadmon, where they supervised a 12-person department and was responsible for the early discovery and development of small molecules and biologics. Masha also created and delivered a yearly budget of approximately $10 million.

Masha Poyurovsky holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh. Additionally, they have pursued further education and currently holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biochemistry from Columbia University.
