Abbenyi Abbenyi

Abbenyi Abbenyi began their work experience in 2001 as a Graphic Designer and Web Designer for iTech at The University of Southern Mississippi. They worked on front-end web graphics, website concepts, and email marketing. They also collaborated with a web developer to deliver the final product. Additionally, during that time, Abbenyi also served as a Graphic Designer and Cartoonist for The Student Printz, the university's student newspaper, where they created editorial cartoons and designed layouts and graphics for articles and sports pages.

In 2006, Abbenyi worked as an Art Director and Web Developer for Hub City Independent Media.

In 2007, Abbenyi became a Servant Leader Intern for The CDF Freedom Schools program at Children's Defense Fund. Their responsibilities included mentoring 6th-8th grade students, preparing lesson plans, teaching lessons, and creating activities.

From 2007 to 2009, Abbenyi worked at Buffalo Wild Wings as a Cashier, Cook, and Server, and at Firehouse Subs as a Cashier and Cook.

In 2011, Abbenyi worked as a Graphic Design Intern at North Carolina State University.

From 2012 to 2014, Abbenyi served as an Art Director and Operations Coordinator for the literary journal Obsidian: Literature in the African Diaspora at North Carolina State University. They were responsible for art direction, day-to-day operations, design and layout of the journal, and design and maintenance of the website. They also transitioned the website to Wordpress for easier maintenance.

Since 2014, Abbenyi has been working as a Graphic Designer and Front End Developer at Kadro.

Abbenyi Abbenyi's education history begins in 1998 when they attended Hattiesburg High School. Following their graduation from high school in 2001, Abbenyi attended The University of Southern Mississippi from 2001 to 2008, focusing on Graphic Communications. After completing their undergraduate studies, Abbenyi pursued a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design at Flagler College from 2009 to 2010.
