Shariq Plasticwala

Shariq Plasticwala is the Founder and CEO of Kafqa Academy. Shariq was previously the Director and Board Member of Amazon Pay, where they led Amazon Pay's stored value (wallet) and gift cards, launched new digital categories such as bill payments, movie ticketing, and travel, and drove adoption for prepaid payment instruments.

Shariq has also worked as Sr. Business Development Manager at Amazon.com, where they were part of the seed team that launched Junglee.com and Amazon.in in India.

Prior to their work at Amazon, Shariq was the CEO of Prione Business Services Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture between Catamaran Ventures and Amazon Asia focused on enabling small and medium businesses in the fast-growing digital economy through capability creation and upgradation. The company had 500+ employees spread across 30+ cities in India when Shariq left to start Kafqa Academy.

Shariq Plasticwala has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
