Engagement Lead

Kaizen Analytix LLC, an analytics consulting services and product firm that gives clients unmatched speed to value through analytics solutions and actionable business insights, is seeking candidates for a talented Engagement Lead to join our team.

As an Engagement Lead, you will be responsible for leading the Kaizen project team and being the primary project contact with the client. This is a “hands-on” role responsible for project leadership, project delivery, client relationship management and project P/L.

  • Working with clients to understand key business challenges and conceptualize and develop an analytics solution
  • Leading proposal and statement of work (SOW) development including defining business objectives, solution approach, scope, deliverables, client responsibilities, staffing roles, pricing, and risk mitigation
  • Managing core delivery teams of Kaizen and non-Kaizen (clients, third parties, offshore) resources that possess data science and technology skill sets
  • Managing multiple work streams from acquisition and planning through successful project delivery
  • Ensuring requirements are specified in a manner suitable for intended audience and are understandable, unambiguous, and capable of being implemented and tested
  • Engaging with the project team to proactively review deliverables, identify potential issues and drive resolution to avoid customer impact
  • Addressing problems through excellent decision-making and innovative, strategic ideas
  • Applying a business lens to requirements, analysis and solutions
  • Implementing solutions in either client or Kaizen environments
  • Working with technical leadership to ensure technical best practices are followed
  • Facilitating critical communications by interacting with core delivery team members (project domain), development personnel (technical domain) and client
  • Possessing the ability to identify project risks and support risk resolution
  • Participating in and preparing materials for client status and steering committee meetings
  • Playing a key role in client management, leading and mentoring project teams
  • Building client relationship by understanding client business and providing thought leadership around analytical solutions
  • Identifying opportunities to generate follow-on revenue and additional engagements
  • Preparing for and participating in monthly internal project reviews

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelors / Masters degree in Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Econometrics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Data Science or other applied mathematical discipline; MBA is a plus
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in project management for projects with a technical focus and / or analytical modeling components;
    • 4+ years of consulting experience required
  • Project Management: Ability to manage projects using SDLC, PMI, and Agile methodologies
  • Core Skills: Business analysis; Ability to communicate clearly and present to senior leadership/executives; excellent people management skills; mindset of “own it all the way through solution”;
  • Leadership Skills: Enables / demonstrates innovative thinking; Possesses a “can do” attitude; Thought leader for the client
  • Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Project Management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Asana, Basecamp, SmartSheets, etc.); also familiar with:
    • BI Analysis tools like Tableau and Power BI
    • Analytics tools (Alteryx, Forecasting tools, etc.)
  • Possesses strong analytical/ logical thinking skills
