Gina (Jihyeon) Lee

Gina Lee has extensive work experience in the field of AI research and data analysis. Gina (Jihyeon) started their career as a Data Analyst/Marketer at CLASSUM in February 2019, where they focused on growth and data analysis projects. Gina (Jihyeon) collected and analyzed raw data, tracked user events, and implemented strategies to increase active user engagement.

In July 2020, Gina joined NAVER Corp as an AI Research Scientist. Their research primarily involved personalized machine translation using real-world user data. Gina (Jihyeon) also worked as a dispatched researcher on the Papago team until December 2020.

Currently, Gina is serving as an AI Research Scientist at kakaobrain, starting in July 2021. Their role involves building pipelines for language model training and evaluation. Gina (Jihyeon) collects and preprocesses large-scale text datasets, conducts distributed training of language models, and optimizes model performance through various experiments.

Throughout their career, Gina has demonstrated expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and AI research.

Gina (Jihyeon) Lee began their education in 2012 when they attended Changwon Science High School. From 2014 to 2020, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biz&Tech Management and Industrial Engineering at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. In 2017, Gina also had the opportunity to study at Technische Universität Darmstadt for a year, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. Recently, Gina completed their Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, under the guidance of Professor Jaegul Choo, from 2020 to 2022.
