Allan Doctor

Allan Doctor's work experience began in 1999 at the University of Virginia, where they served as an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Anesthesia until 2006. In the same year, they joined Washington University School of Medicine as a Professor of Pediatrics & Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics and later became the Chief of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. In 2016, Doctor became the Chief Scientific Officer and Founding Partner of KaloCyte, Inc. Currently, they hold multiple positions at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) including Professor of Pediatrics, Director of the Center for Blood Oxygen Transport and Hemostasis, and Director of the Center for Blood Oxygen Transport and Hemostasis.

Allan Doctor began their education at the University of Virginia in 1980 and completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Neurobiology and Neurosciences in 1984. Following that, they pursued Medicine and obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the University of Virginia in 1989.
