Laurence Laforest

Laurence Laforest has been working in the tech industry since 1999. Starting out at Allegro Films as an IT Specialist, they were responsible for helping employees with their PCs and automated digitalization techniques of paper movie scripts into PDF. In 2002, they began working at Gala Systems as a Scada programmer and IT Specialist. During their time there, they helped employees with their PCs, managed the network and its resources, and worked on scenic equipment automations in the electrical engineering department. From 2005 to 2008, they were a Software specialist at Mechtronix Systems Inc. and from 2008 to 2019, they worked as a Software specialist at CAE. Currently, they are a DevOps Specialist at Kaloom.

Laurence Laforest obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering - Software specialization from Concordia University between 2001 and 2005. Laurence also holds a PADI Open Water Diver certification obtained in November 1998 and a CSST First Aider Certificate obtained in March 2010. Laurence has also attended Maisonneuve.
